Grab incoming call?

  1. 15 years ago

My extension is not set to ring for most calls. There are however, times that folks on the repair bench cannot get to the phones to pickup. How can I grab a call that is ringing in on another extension?

You can click on the ringing extension and then click on the PICKUP action button. It will pick up the call and your phone will start to ring.

  3. OK, I now understand the sequence of actions needed. When I answer my ringing extension however, my phone immediately hangs up and the original extension just keeps ringing. I don't know if it matters, but I am using a Bria softphone.

    Hi,

The most probable cause is an asterisk context mismatch. The next release fixes this problem by using some tricks for the call pickup. If you use centos 5, 32 bits and want to test it out, you can download the devel version from:

    http://www.fop2.com/downloads/fop2_server
    http://www.fop2.com/downloads/fop2.js

Replace those files in your install and you can test it out.

    Best regards,

  5. Just my luck. I decided on CentOS x64 when I set up the new server. Seems silly to keep running x86 on x64 processors! Guess I'll be waiting awhile longer.

  6. It has been nearly a month, any luck with the new code under CentOS x64? As FOP2 is pretty much useless to me right now like this, I can certainly test for you if it will move the project along.
