Customer wants their staff to see only whether an extension is busy or not. Not who they are talking to.

Customer wants their staff to see only whether an extension is busy or not. Not who they are talking to.
Go to the FOP2 Manager, select the Buttons tab, for each extension you have a Privacy setting. Change that to "clid" and dialed/callerid numbers will be hidden.

That will hide clid from everyone, including supervisors. Our customer desires the following functionality:
"We would like something with four tiers. The higher tier can record, monitor, view call status, barge, etc on any lower tier but not on an equal or higher tier. "
We have created groups for each tier but how do we allow higher tiers to see clid for lower tiers and not for the same tier? (e.g. managers in the same tier should be able to see clid for their staff in a lower tier but not see clid for other managers in their own tier)

Unfortunately it is not possible to have different clid behavior based on such tiers, and it is not simple to implement either. Setting is global. Perhaps a plugin can be written to mask the callerid based on special permissions, but it would require writing such a plugin.
